München Klinik Harlaching
München Klinik Harlaching, Germany
The new Munich Clinic Harlaching, with around 550 beds, is one of the largest hospitals in Munich and Bavaria's largest new hospital development of 2026.
According to the FOCUS hospital ranking, Munich Clinic Harlaching is among the top 20 hospitals in Bavaria and ranks among the top 100 hospitals nationwide. As a maximum-care hospital, it provides the full spectrum of medical services. Together with Kusch + Co., we had the opportunity to furnish almost every area of the new building with our furniture solutions.
Our scope of work ranged from reception and admission areas to a variety of waiting spaces, patient rooms across different wards, and office and staff workspaces.
Each furnishing concept was tailored to the specific requirements of the respective medical department. For example, colourful Tapa seating creates a welcoming atmosphere in the children's department, while comfortable Lupino lounge chairs provide additional comfort in the maternity ward's patient rooms.
As an academic teaching hospital affiliated with Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, the hospital places high demands on modern learning and working environments. For this reason, our BeWise chairs were selected for the training rooms, meeting all functional and ergonomic requirements. The waiting areas were furnished with Genaya and Lupino seating, creating comfortable and welcoming spaces for both patients and visitors.
For the staff, we created modern working environments with a variety of functional zones – ranging from open collaboration areas with contemporary workbenches and quiet focus spots featuring our room-in-room system Spix, to comfortable breakout areas with Sand and other modern furnishing solutions.
Our V-Care benches were also installed throughout the circulation areas, meeting the demanding requirements for hygiene, fire safety, and durability that are essential in healthcare environments.
The result is a hospital that successfully combines functionality with well-being. Thoughtful interior design creates a welcoming atmosphere, helps reduce anxiety, and fully supports the complex requirements of modern healthcare, nursing, and day-to-day clinical operations.
